With this update, I am now 6 years behind blogging my memories. As usual, I am here because I want to make an appreciation post to the people in my life and those of you who still come by.
Well well well, we meet again. Happy 2022!! Screw the world, we freaking made it :)
My hunt for a job/career never ends, so let me know if you spot anything nice!~ ;) I still intend to update my Youtube channel as much as I can, with both backlog and fresher stuff too so please keep a lookout for it!.
2021 was quite mad. Compared to 2020, last year was a lot more to handle. It's so annoying to not be able to achieve what I wanted mostly due to life's happenings, and yet I am expected to perform as normal. This post ain't about that though it's about December so let's freaking goooooo~

Here comes the constant: I will now do what I do every year; compile a list of everyone who wished me happy birthday along with as much relevant memories that I want to and can remember.
Hopefully I do justice because my livestream got screwed up again and I didn't recap it properly because my outdated technology failed me. Such is life ;)

Just like dejavu the month started out with the yearly Spotify review. I was more prepared this time!~ Loved how they made use of data collection in a way that also benefits their users.
Interesting concept of making us as main characters and attaching the songs with random situations that could make a story. "Work from home" privileges I guess, since listening to music on the job if in office is seen as "lazy"?? But I think SGreans don't listen a lot anyway.
CONGRATULATIONS!! As it should. This year really tested my resilience and I needed something to remind me to keep my eyes on the prize aka envision the life I truly wish to lead. #ThatsTheLifeForMe ~
Learned a new word today: hygge. This year was a good kpop year, not surprised more records came up this time round. I still wonder if other people know that I listen to more than just k-pop.
Lowkey judging myself tbh but data is data. Ok I went all out and apparently SpotifyWrapped has one for Blends too. I don't have many friends on the app but ah. It's like secondhand feels. I know you listened to that song a lot when you were going through a hard time. Hugs~
Later in the month I posted some screenshots of my Wrapped results and mentioned the people involved. Quite a number of them responded!! Honestly, I just wanted to give credit when it's due but it was so nice of them to see/repost/reply with a message to my shoutout. Brownie points if they checked out my other stories too!. Love supporting talented kepo personalities 부끄부끄~

The list makes sense too. Here goes my attempt to briefly describe what I like about them in the next few paragraphs.
Can't believe I spent so much time listening to these 2-3 "poyo" mats talking about Malays, Malay-ness and Malay-ing, in English!! I regret nothing. They have been putting out episodes more consistently and it's no surprise that they came up top for me.
As they say, there is no "one way" to be Malay so it's real nice to have 3 same-same-but-different representations out there for everyone to experience. Sure each individual comes with their own set of subtleties from their personalities and other possible factors that aren't related to race, but still. Something about the casual chat and banter is just an easy listen that I always look forward to. Congratz #HowToMalayfirstwin ᄏ
Can't bring myself to listen to the last few podcasts of The Good Place. I'm guessing this is also one of the reasons this podcast didn't end up first on my list. I love this show to bits and it feels like I've watched every available content out there, and I still miss the show.
Also, Mark (he plays Shawn) is so cool. Everyone's great and all in the first place but I think that his hosting really brings out the best of this podcast. Last but not least, Ted Danson is officially certified GILF in my books. Shut up Glenn.
Started listening to some episodes because my inquisitive nature got the best of me and I was drawn to the episode titles. They were named like the one-liners that we used to get from Fall Out Boy songs lol. Some good stuff there!! The ones that I listened to were interesting.
By the time this post gets out the format might've changed but as of 2021, I enjoyed the content a lot because it gives me the passion-project vibe that is hard to find these days. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate quality and "industry" level standards but sometimes I just want something that doesn't feel like another side hustle.
When I got into YLB, they were talking about current SG topics, occasionally with a special guest. The more I listened to them, the more it feels like they are the big brothers I never had. Also, it's just really comforting to hear the BM[?. Boomer-Millennial] takes because in some cases, I feel like my thoughts are represented as well and in other cases, I get to see things from other perspectives.
They very effort you know, put proper shownotes and have a community on Reddit all. #respect
It's back from the hiatus!. The concept is very different in comparison to the episodes before but it's cool. A successful pivot. Thing is, I've watched all the current hosts perform stand-up live before and not gonna lie, I've wondered how the three of them get along. Sometimes the conversations can get a bit annoying and I miss the REAL siblings but overall still top 5 material :)
OKAY to be fair these stats are not to be taken in totality because I listen to a lot of other stuff on other platforms but for what it's worth - it's still accurate. Now, for the big reveal, my artist of the year is..

In other news, Survivor is back on this year for Season 41 and they had this new interactive segment which was lowkey really fun!. Loved the puzzles and felt like Jeff Probst was talking straight to me!! Immersion but not really lol

This year was also the year where I got to know of more Survivor fans. It's really nice to have people to discuss the Monty Hall problem, inside jokes, and so much more. Thankz for welcoming me!!

Later in the day I met up with my aunt for late lunch/early dinner. Gotta love Wingstop Lemon Pepper tenders!! :D
Dining in is still a pain considering space restrictions and social distancing measures in Singapore but sometimes it's the meal, and other times it's also the company that makes it all worth it.
She was nice enough to entertain my vain shenanigans and helped to take photos AND videos with the Pokemon exhibition that was there at City Square mall. It was raining. #dedication ^^ \m/

Overall #EZT2021 livestream went fine. It was a bit tough to have to rely on myself for 2 hours but I'm glad I got to have more live audience and interactions!!
Very intimate sesh lol. Not sure if I've covered it on the stream but below is the rough summary of my 2021 highlights.
Jan: Binge-watched The Good Place, got addicted to Stardew Valley.
Feb: Found my first long strand of grey hair, successfully made my personal best gyeranjjim so far, finished #CCB filming, ate steamboat with fam and kiddos, caught up with some friends, finally danced, touched a PS5, got evaluated on Stardew for the first time, bought my own sack of rice.
Mar: Wrapped up 2 jobs, watched a movie in the cinema and also a buffet for the first time since pAndEmIc, spent my hundreth hour on Stardew, celebrated CNY somehow, got back to Youtube, got new mask lol, had a family staycay + took my first inbody
Apr: KFC is anime?, Mr Softee icecream resurgence, addicted to Synthetic Watermelon game.
May: Home Improvement Programe and kitchen renovation (epic exprience [hippo]), intense Ramadan, supermoon, watched Conan's new movie in cinema.
June: Still HIP nonsense plus some additional renos, finished Ramadan, celebrated raya, went on a feels trip while clearing my room, picked up Minesweeper again, cycled more, tried Monster Planet for my first time, went to a laundromat for my first time also, tried a Gen Z look.
July: Still dealing with the finishing up of additional home renos and experimenting with the new equipment, finding old material of myself and starting Pandoraz Box, BTS meal and Happy Meal toys, Afterschool Reunion, crazy journey to the west thankz to Redzat11, got vaxxed, sent a snail mail to an old penpal and she replied lol, ate durian.
Aug: Fully vaxxed, successful macaroons at first try, had pricey Sweet Potato Mont Blanc, Hari Raya Haji, enjoyed a mechanised freshly spun cotton candy, watched the glorious Olympic pictogram perf.
Sept: New IC and TraceTogether token, vaccination has "taken effect" and legally dined out again, enjoyed the online #NDP2021, new Thomson East Line, library pin, a bakery tour, finally finished my birthday blog.
Oct: Forced to pay for Careshield via CPF, 2 years since no Gmum, National Museum visit, dined out nice, Street Woman Fighter and Survivor, made Dalgona candy for first time ever, recycled a lot.
Nov: Had Baklava rings for the first time, received K-Box from KTO, Cold-Blooded MV drop and StreetWomanFighter finals, ate steamed fish coz Survivor, Halloween, finally got the library books I wanted since last year coz it kept getting borrowed, bought 20 McNuggets and got a free McChicken.
Dec: Read on!~ ;)
"That's The Life For Me" continues to give me a clear vision through the pandemic, "Cold Blooded" makes me feel a more empowered, and I can safely say I did my best. FIGHTING EZT!! ^^ \m/

Very big downer: mid-shopping we decided to have teabreak at Delifrance because it's been long since we seen and dined at one but it was a big mistake. Never have I ever been in such a colossal fail of an eating establishment!!
Half of the menu was "out of stock", and what was available was poorly done without a care in the world and tasted bad. Service [or lack thereof] was pathetic and everyone's clueless and unattentive.
When I eventually sent the HQ a complaint, I was met with an overzealous, delusional, inarticulate and unprofessional reply. I hope this "shop" runs itself to the ground.
Moving along, that awkward moment when Mum asks you to go stand with your siblings so she can take picture.

Enjoyed some old school Metal Slug while waiting for our room~
Finally got to try It Takes Two!. Heard many raving reviews about it and was very skeptical because there's no way a game like this can be so loved in this society. In my opinion this genre [non-fps, non-sport, non-horror, not brainless fun] is not what's hot right now.
Hesitant because I do not enjoy co-op games and I still get motion sickness from 360cam games and perspective.
Little did I know, this was mindblowing!! #GeekGirlGoneMad I must've been dreaming. IT TAKES TWO WAS AMAZING.
The story was great, the visuals were arresting, the gameplay was well thought out,.. it's like you're watching a movie but make it interactive.
If you're thinking "EZT you're just saying it's good because you had low expectations", well that's not the case. I had few hopes and this game is so awesome that not only do I think it's good after playing a chunk of it, it actually makes me feel bad for thinking so lowly of it!!
Getting to comfortably play in a neutral place with the relevant equipment and experiencing the game in it's full glorious capacity, what a time to be alive~
Did not get far because we didn't want to speedrun and rush through such a respectable game. One of the most intense and satisfying 2 hours of our life ᄏᄏ
Dinner after!. Went to a Japanese restaurant because I was cold and wanted some Ocha and Udon.
Kake Udon + Tempura + Ocha = Best Combo 100.

Omg Shiroi Koibito is available at Don Don Donki. Super expensive though... Anyhow came home one day to find bags of clothes and goodies at my doorstep.
Turns out it's from my big brain cousin!! Was going to meet her the next day but she dropped off the items beforehand so that we won't have to lug it around, so smart!~ :')
Thankz for all the stuff and coming over to treat me waffles and more!~ Okay quick rant: was quite upset because the service staff were really inattentive. They gave us wrong ice cream flavours and did not follow through with what they said they can do.
One of those times where the company makes the dining experience. It was so nice to chat on our own and catch up. Also thanks for this painting my numbers set!. Been a long time since I painted and this was therapeutic as well.

Laid down because I was tired but babygirl decided to put the eyemask and "blanky" on me. I was just trying to rest and not watch AFF Suzuki Cup lmao.
She then went on to grab a fan that I gave her to fan me and try to get me to sleep. We all know she just didn't want us to go home. How sweet.

Once again, like last year, they don't "come" to a "party". The party comes with them.

Instagram had this "Add Yours" widget trend and I decided to join in for this one. Didn't think I'd have merch from all 4 animes but apparently I do.
What I didn't know was that they spread the New Years party at multiple locations throughout the island and there was one near where I was at!! Could've gotten a better view, but hey at least I caught it?. Haha.
With all that done and dusted, I would just like to once again say.. THANKZ A BILLION to everyone who showed up in one way or another to make my birthday month a little more special!~ I love you ^^ \m/
That quote really resonated with me. 2021 was a year where I got to dive deep into many things, some of which are works in progress while others might be hard-to-let-go trash or newfound hopes and goals.
Like everyone else I may have my down days, but with every word that I continue to type, I know that I am blessed to always have reminders that I should live my life to the best of my abilities.

2021 was quite an interesting year for me, and as per mentioned in my last blogpost [lol], I "did my best to wrap it up and kick start my first year of being a thirty-something". I will spare the both of us from the "same damn picture" this time, because I think life has been forcing us to "jump" enough :)
I hope that we will always find the strength and grace to deal with the things that were brought to us, come what may. Never let a crisis go to waste!~
1st year as a "big 3", sorted. I look forward to meeting here again when the time is right. :)
